Logo Design Project

1. Scope of Service
Davidson, also known as Davidson Design Biz (DDB) specialises in bespoke flat design logos for businesses. The design process is known as a project. We provide three initial design concepts, for each project quoted for, from which the client selects one as their preferred option. The two remaining designs will thereby be rejected from the project and returned to DDB ownership to be re-purposed for sale. Each project can take, but not limited to, one week (7 days).
 

2. Design Process & Revisions

• The selected design will be refined in collaboration with the client to produce a final logo.

• Clients are entitled to three revisions. Any additional changes beyond this limit may incur extra fees.
   

3. Deliverables

The final logo will be provided in the following file formats: 

• PNG (Transparent Background)

• PSD (Adobe Photoshop)

• AI (Adobe Illustrator)

• JPG (Standard Image Format)
   

4. Payment & Fees

All work quoted for, must be paid in full prior to the commencement of work. A payment link will be forwarded along with a quote. Once the payment is received, work will commence within 24 hours. Any additional revisions beyond the three included may require an extra charge of $100 NZD per revision. 
 

5. Ownership & Usage 
The client receives full rights and ownership of the final logo design selected. Please note that Davidson will retain a JPG copy only of the logo for promotional purposes. All source, final print and media files as in item 3. above will be forwarded to the client. Davidson will retain the right to re-purpose by design, rejected logos of a project for re-sale including for but not limited to portfolio and promotional purposes.

6. Cancellation & Refunds​

• If the project is cancelled by either party and before the initial concepts are provided, a partial refund may be issued at Davidson's discretion. However, if cancelled after the three concept designs have been delivered to a client, there will be no refund. This is to compensate DDB for work already carried out to produce the logos. A cancellation at any stage of the project, will mean copyright and ownership of all designs will, by default remain the exclusive property of Davidson and cannot be used for any purpose by the former client without express permission of DDB. This may involve the sale of a logo to the former client at an agreed price.
   

7. Liability
Davidson is not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from the use of a logo.  While we attempt to provide bespoke and original designs, the client is responsible for ensuring that the final logo does not infringe on existing trademarks or copyrights.
 

8. Agreement 
Once payment for the amount quoted for has been paid, this will confirm the client's intention to commence a logo design project with Davidson and thereby agrees to these terms and conditions.
